We help people in north east Essex face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them, their families, friends and carers.

Bereavement support

We help adults in north and mid Essex who have been bereaved, regardless of how or where their loved one died. We also offer bereavement support to children and young people up to the age of 17 in north east Essex for those whose loved one has died - no prior connection to the hospice is required. Support can either be individual or as a family group.

Support for adults over the age of 18 who have been bereaved in north and mid Essex, regardless of the cause of death or when or where the individual has died.

Processing fees

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.

We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
