Each week you could win one of 217 prizes ranging from £10-£1,000 plus a rollover of up to £25,000!

Our Hospice in the Home service relies on the regular income we get from local people playing the lottery. As part of this service our community nurse specialists give emotional support and practical advice to patients and families in their own homes across north Essex, using their expert knowledge in pain and symptom control to help people with incurable illness to live well with dignity

How to play

There are a number of ways to sign up to play every week:

Sign up online with Your Hospice Lottery

By direct debit for as little as £4.34 a month. 

To pay over the phone please call the Your Hospice Lottery office on 0800 285 1390 to arrange your membership.

You can pay by debit card when you sign up online or call the Your Hospice Lottery office on 0800 285 1390. 

You can also pay by cheque - £13 quarterly, £26 bi-annually or £52 annually.

As we are a lottery we do not accept credit cards. 

How does it work?

  • One entry in the weekly draw is £1. You can purchase multiple entries if you wish
  • You will be allocated a unique lottery number.
  • Your number(s) will be entered into the draw every week for which you have paid. If you want to play in just one draw, you can purchase a single ticket
  • Each week, there is one £1,000 prize, one £250 prize, and 215 prizes of £10 
  • The rollover prize of £500 is selected from random numbers and could rollover up to a maximum of £25,000
  • You will be sent a notification should you win, and your winnings will be
  • transferred to your lottery account. You will have to sign up for a lottery account to withdraw your winning funds. If you don’t have an email, a cheque will be posted to the address Your Hospice Lottery have on record for you, so make sure that you keep your address updated.
  • You must be 18 or over to join the lottery.

Lottery Information

Single tickets

Whether you're a long-term supporter and feel like increasing your chances as the rollover gets higher, or you're just feeling lucky, you can purchase single tickets to enter into the draw for just one week. Each ticket costs £1 per entry. 

The draw usually takes place every Friday - Please check the countdown on the
website for specific cut off time. If you purchase after this time, you will be entered
into the following draw.

Online account
You can set up an online lottery account where you can take control of your
lottery membership.

Having an online account means you now can:
• Manage your online ticket purchases.
• Find your play numbers.
• Update your personal details & marketing preferences.
• View previous transactions and tickets.
• Store payment information to easily purchase your next lottery tickets.
• Withdraw winnings into your bank account!

3. Once you have entered your email address, you will receive an email which will
enable you to reset your password.
Check Your Numbers

Winning cheques are sent by post after the draw, so you don't need to make a claim for your prize if you win, but you can check your numbers on the Your Hospice Lottery website here

Why was I called?

Our Your Hospice Lottery team work to recruit players from the local community. We rely on this activity to ensure we continue to sign up new players and receive this valuable income year on year. Since Covid-19, we have introduced telesales and have also recommenced face to face recruitment in venues and door to door to maintain this essential income.to maintain this essential income.

Please note calls are made Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Agents may call you a maximum of twice a day (with a minimum 4 hour gap) and a total of 6-8 times.

Outbound phone numbers are set in advance so it is easy to check whether you were indeed called by our team. Check the details of the numbers HERE.

In every instance, the consumer will have agreed to receive calls from 3rd parties including Charities and Hospices.

In line with data protection regulations, it is possible to request the exact opt-in journey on how your details were captured. To do so we need your contact details which we will share with the data company (via the telemarketing agent). They will then contact you directly to discuss your request.

If you are not happy to receive the call, simply advise the agent. You will be instantly added to a ‘do not call list’ and your details are removed.

You may also wish to register with the Telephone Preference Service to avoid receiving calls like these all together. This process can take up to 28 days before calls cease. TPS is the UK’s only official ‘Do Not Call’ register for landline and mobile numbers. It allows people and businesses to opt out of unsolicited live sales and marketing calls. All calls, made or received (you can call them too!) by agents, are recorded.

Call agents are trained constantly to ensure the highest level of customer service is apparent. Please refer to our Canvassing Code of Practice PDF and our Canvasser Code of Conduct and Compliance.

Our lottery complies with the highest standards in quality assurance, governance, and compliance guidelines.

If you have a query about what was said, just send us an email to lottery@yourhospicelottery.org.uk with your phone number. We will be able to request a log of exactly when you were called and also listen to the actual call. We take concerns extremely seriously and will always do our best to deal with these types of queries straight away.

The reason that you have received a telephone call or email asking if you would like to join the St Helena Lottery, is that you will have agreed to the privacy policy of UK Best Offers, opting in and agreeing to receive telephone calls/emails from third parties, including charities.

If you play Your Hospice Lottery in support of St Helena, you will have access to several discounts at a variety of local businesses ranging from take-out restaurants to home and beauty.
