Pre-event fun can be had at the Event Village, sponsored by MHA, at Stanfords on Severalls Industrial Park from 7.30pm with circus performers, stalls and an energetic warm-up from Toni at Clubbercise.
The four-mile walk begins at 9.30pm passing by the Hospice on Barncroft Close in Highwoods where people can pause in memory of a loved one if they choose to.
Once the last walker crosses the finish line on Saturday night, St Helena Hospice will close the curtain on the event for the final time.
Midnight Walk has been a fixture on the charity’s fundraising events calendar since 2009, with a hiatus during covid.
Ian Daniels, Associate Director of Fundraising and Marketing at St Helena Hospice, said:
“We are excited to welcome this year’s Midnight Walkers on Saturday to our circus-themed event, and we’re looking forward to a night of being together and supporting each other along the way.
“Our events raise vital funds for St Helena Hospice but we are guided by our community as to what events they want to take part in, and sadly it seems Midnight Walk has had its heyday as participant numbers have dropped over recent years, and this year has seen fewer people signing up in advance.
“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has taken part over the years.
“Meanwhile, the popularity of our Pier to Pier walk held in May each year, has grown even more and is a fantastic event for friends, families and colleagues to do together, or for people to walk alone alongside their community in memory of a loved one or simply to support a well-loved local charity.
“There are many other events and challenges to join in and raise money for the Hospice throughout the year, such as for keen runners, we have our Harwich Half Marathon and 10k coming up on 4th October.
“Why not join us this weekend to have a bit of fun and sense of camaraderie for our final Midnight Walk.”
People can sign up for a Midnight Walk Hero ticket with no sponsorship required by 11:59pm on Thursday 10th September or can pay on arrival on the evening between 7.30pm and 9.15pm.

We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
