Team St Helena Hospice spent months training in all weathers to run the iconic 26.2 miles on Sunday 26th April.
Our sincere thanks to our 19 runners; Alex White, Brian Craig, Candice Goddard, Charley Jade Oxley, Fliss Klarner, Hannah Symonds, Jen Carter, Joe Buckman, John Everson, Jonny Turner, Jordan Thomas, Julian Causer, Karen Chumbley, Nicky Kedge, Sarah Cole, Stewart Brown, and everyone who ran to support St Helena Hospice!
They collectively raised a staggering £52,650 so far, with the total still rising and Gift Aid yet to be added!
Kayleigh Jowers, Senior Events and Challenges Officer, said:
"Standing at mile 17 and seeing our runners coming through was incredibly emotional.
"I’ve been on this journey with them since they signed up this time last year, but seeing their faces and knowing the miles they’ve put in and the loved ones they were running for, made me feel so proud I could burst.
"To raise nearly £60,000 is just massive. It was a privilege to be there to scream their names and support them on a day they’ll never forget.
"They’ve done something amazing for themselves and for the families we support."
When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money. If you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
