Run like your hero to support hospice care

St Helena Hospice is calling for local heroes to take part in a fun run at Colchester Sports Park on Sunday 23rd March.

The charity’s Hero Run, sponsored by Jones & Whymark, is a chance to dress as your hero for a 2km family fun run or more seasoned runners can choose to take on a 5km or 10km.

Marcus Poston, partnerships fundraising manager at St Helena Hospice, said:

“Hero Run is designed with fun in mind and it’s a fantastic chance for children and families to be active in a safe, exciting and inclusive event where little ones aged four and over can run, walk or fly across the finish line.

“Dressing up as your favourite hero is highly encouraged as the theme is ‘your hero’, and whether your hero is a nurse, a film superhero or your loved one, all sponsorship raised will go towards helping patients and families receive the care and support they need, when they need it, where they need it.

"Not all heroes wear capes but anyone taking part in Hero Run is a hero to St Helena Hospice!

The event will be held on the Colchester Sports Park cycle track at Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester, CO4 5YX
