Fundraise in celebration

Whether it's a wedding, anniversary, a birthday, a new baby or your retirement, your big (or small) event could help local people face incurable illness and bereavement.

Pledge your birthday

Pounds instead of presents, donations instead of drinks or cheques instead of a cake, there are lots of ways you can turn your birthday into funds for St Helena Hospice.

Can’t think what to ask for this year? Would you consider asking your friends and family to donate to St Helena Hospice instead of buying you a gift so that more local people who need our support can get the help they need when, and where, they need it?

Weddings

There are lots of ways you can support local people facing incurable illness and bereavement on your special day, here are some ideas for how to incorporate St Helena Hospice into your wedding or civil partnership.

Forgo a gift list

If you've got enough pots, pans and towels you might consider asking your guests to give the gift of kindness and make a donation instead of buying you a gift.

If you're including this information on your invitations be sure to let your guests know why you've chosen to support St Helena Hospice and how they can donate. Include a link to your online giving site or let them know there will be somewhere to donate cash on the day. We can provide collection pots for your big day.

Make a donation instead of providing wedding favours

Instead of buying sugared almonds or novelty blowing bubbles for your guests you can dedicate your celebration by making a donation to St Helena Hospice. Many couples choose to include a little message on their wedding stationary letting guests know why they've chosen to donate, which can often inspire them to make a gift of their own.
