There are many ways that you and your staff can help us, either individually or as a team. From simply having one of our collection pots on your shop counter or reception desk, or fundraising with an office bake sale, through to event sponsorship and participation.
We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our donation centre and in our hospice garden too.
Unite your staff in supporting a worthy cause and demonstrate your company’s commitment to making a difference by nominating St Helena Hospice as your charity of the year. We will support you in whatever you choose to do. We can help by talking to your staff about the services we provide and explain the difference your fundraising makes.
Promote your brand and become a corporate sponsor! We have sponsorship opportunities to suit all budgets.
St Helena holds a variety of fundraising events throughout the year which you can take part in individually or as a team.
You can also choose to fundraise internally and we can help by providing fundraising packs, St Helena branded items such as collection pots, balloons, bunting, tablecloths and banners, poster templates and our A to Z of fundraising ideas.
Your company employees can donate to St Helena regularly via their salary and benefit from tax relief as donations are taken before tax. It therefore costs them less to give more!
This is a fantastic way to support us all year round. Hosting a collection pot or donation station enables your staff and customers to easily donate their loose change and unwanted items to St Helena Hospice.
If you or your staff would like to dedicate some of your corporate volunteering days to St Helena Hospice and build team skills at the same time, you can help us by gardening or undertaking maintenance work at the hospice or by sorting through donations at our donation centre. We also welcome support in our fundraising offices from time to time.
Is your workplace equipped to support your colleagues when they’re facing some of the toughest times of life?
Compassionate Workplaces training provided by St Helena Hospice provides the practical tools and resources an organisation needs to support their workforce during life’s most difficult moments. It will give your organisation protected time to safely reflect on your own practices and policies relating to staff support, giving you the tools and confidence you need to offer the best support you can to those facing dying, death and bereavement. These sessions are a safe space for people to share personal experiences of loss or being close to someone experiencing loss and grief.
Not only will you be supporting a good cause and helping St Helena make a difference to local people facing incurable illness and bereavement but there are also significant benefits to you and your staff.
We are always looking for opportunities to work with corporate partners to promote the amazing services St Helena provide across north east Essex. If you are able to help in any way we would love to hear from you.
For more information or to sign up please email rjennings@sthelena.org.uk or call 01206 646 178.
Your donation, large or small, can make a big difference, giving more local people dignity and choice at the end of life.
Read stories DonateWhen you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money.
