Our meet-ups help grow community networks of support to learn about the many care options available in the community, share lived experiences, and to form new connections.
Meet-ups take place on the first Friday of every month at different locations in Colchester, designed to help raise awareness of the places and projects that are supporting our communities with kindness and compassion.
These social events are FREE to attend and include a friendly walk and talk (10am - 11am) followed by a cuppa and a chat (11am - 12pm).
These are our future dates & venues:
4 APR 2025 - Level Best Enterprises, 26 St John's St, Colchester CO2 7HB
Our steering group is a collaborative network of individuals, organisations and community groups dedicated to fostering a culture of care and compassion in north east Essex.
The group works together to promote and support initiatives that enhance wellbeing, improve end of life experiences, and strengthen community connections.
It aims to inspire and empower people to build a more compassionate and inclusive community. Meetings take place bi-monthly and are generally held in person, sometimes online.

Read stories DonateWhen you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
