Hospice holds Light Up A Life event in Frinton to remember loved ones

St Helena Hospice is holding an event to remember loved ones together, set to take place on the afternoon of Sunday 1st December in Frinton-on-Sea.

Light Up A Life is an opportunity for people to come together to reflect and remember those who will be missed this Christmas.

The event will be held at the Triangle Shopping Centre in Frinton and is open from 3pm to enjoy refreshments and a selection of stalls. A remembrance will begin at 4pm with words of reflection and music from the Salvation Army Band, with a Christmas tree lighting around 5pm.

Jo Clarke, public fundraising manager at St Helena Hospice, said:

“We understand the festive season brings mixed emotions. It is important for those remembering a loved one to have a space to go through those emotions, and to celebrate their memory.

“While the event is free to attend, donations to St Helena Hospice would be gratefully received to help support people in the community who face incurable illness and bereavement.

“Our thanks go to Weeks Construction and the Hunnaball Family Funeral Group who have played a key role in ensuring we are able to run our Light Up A Life events this year.”

Space is limited and a place can be secured by registering to attend at www.sthelena.org.uk/lightupalife24 is open now and closes on Wednesday 27th November for the event on Sunday 1st December. There will also be an event held in Colchester on Sunday 15th December.
