Find out moreThe 40 in 40 challenge is free to enter and takes place from Saturday 1st February for 40 days until Wednesday 12th March 2025. Participants choose their own challenge to take on whenever and wherever it suits them over 40 days, and commit to raising at least £40, which could cover the cost of a doctor for an hour.
Marcus Poston, partnerships fundraising manager at St Helena, said:
“40 in 40 is your challenge, your way! Not only does it raise vital funds for St Helena Hospice, but it could be the start of a good habit for you to carry on with.
“You decide the challenge; maybe you will commit to 40 days of 40 squats a day or walking 40 miles, or perhaps baking 40 cakes or volunteering for 40 hours; whatever you choose, do it for 40 days and the money you raise will make an impact for people in need of hospice support.”

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money. If you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
