They now have 10 weeks to invest, grow and nurture their £50 into as much money as possible for the charity who help local people face incurable illness and bereavement.
St Helena Hospice supporter engagement fundraiser Jo Clarke said: “We’re thrilled to have so many great teams signed up to the challenge this year, and we’re really excited by all the things they are coming up with! We already have a golf day, a wine tasting and a car wash in the calendar and we can’t wait to see what else the teams do with their £50!”
Katie Robertson, marketing coordinator at Birkett Long, said: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor the £50 Challenge again this year. Birkett Long is here for good and 200 years’ experience has taught us it’s not just about knowing the law. It’s also about the impact we have on our communities. We have a long standing relationship with St Helena Hospice who really reflect our own values as a business and are excited that community groups as well as local businesses are encouraged to take part in the challenge this year. We would like to wish everyone who takes part the best of luck.”
The businesses and groups taking part this year are: Aston Lark, Boydens, Codair Design & Publicity Ltd, Essex Knitters and Stitchers, Fenwick, The Friar Pub, Harris + Hoole, Horizon Construction Group, Informa, Later Life Lending Solutions, MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Mr O Removals, Nationwide Building Society’s Colchester and Clacton branches, Perfect for Learning, The Peldon Plough, Reeman Dansie, Signace and Your Claim. If your team would like to sign up, there’s still time to make a last minute entry. Contact Jo Clarke on 01206 931 468 or email jclarke@sthelena.org.uk.

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
