This year, Pier to Pier is extra special as we celebrate 40 years of providing compassionate care on 20th May 2025. Your participation on this special occasion will allow more people to access the St Helena Hospice services that they need. You may also take this chance to honour and remember your loved ones. The walk is the perfect time to reflect on the special moments and memories you and your loved ones shared.
Pier to Pier is open to all ages, plus the route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Places are limited so sign up early to avoid disappointment!

Silent Disco at Pier to Pier 2025
We are excited to bring a Silent Disco to Pier to Pier 2025 meaning you will have the opportunity to listen to music on route along the Essex coastline.
The Silent Disco will start at Clacton Pier ONLY and you can walk 7 or 14 miles whilst being involved. The walk will have a main lead from the company providing this for which you MUST stay in close proximity in order to keep connection and hear the music.
If you are walking 7 miles you will be required to hand back your headphones at Walton Pier. If you are walking 14 miles then you will enjoy some more music back to Clacton Pier where the Silent Disco and your Pier to Pier walk will end.
The cost is £16 per person and a 25% donation from this is being made to St Helena Hospice.
You can select this option through the registration process and payment will be taken.
The Silent Disco has limited places so if you would like to listen to one of 3 music channels including some 80’s, please register quickly!

“We are honoured to support St Helena Hospice's 40th Anniversary Pier to Pier event. At Pickering, we believe in giving back to our community, and we have been partnering with St Helena for many years. This allows us to contribute to their invaluable work. Together, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need in our community. Good luck to everyone participating, especially Team Pickering!”
When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money.
