St Helena Thank You Day Awards 2023

St Helena Hospice said a special thank you to it's 830 volunteers and corporate supporters who have given their time to support the charity

At the event held at the Jobserve Community Stadium in Colchester, on 10th October, St Helena Hospice’s chief executive, Mark Jarman-Howe, thanked all those receiving a milestone award and recognised all 830 people who volunteer their time, skills and enthusiasm to a wide variety of roles supporting the work of the charity.

This year, local businesses who have given their time and money to support St Helena were also in attendance, being presented with thank you certificates for their contribution to the work of St helena over the years and in recognition of raising significant funds for the local charity.

Those at the Thank You Day enjoyed tea and cakes, music from Laura Wyatt and heard from St Helena colleagues about the difference they are making to local people facing incurable illness and bereavement. Daisy, 27, who is now being cared for by St Helena at home after a stay at the Hospice, also sent a video of gratitude for the difference volunteers and corporate suppoters make to people like her who rely on hospice care.

A big thank you also to our Thank You Day sponsors, Weeks Group
