St Helena unveils refreshed brand

St Helena has unveiled a new look, including a new logo and tagline; ‘for the people you love’.

The local charity, which helps local people face incurable illness and bereavement, has launched its refreshed and bold brand alongside a bold ambition, to double their reach over the next ten years.

Mark Jarman-Howe, chief executive at St Helena said: “We are delighted to share our new look, which epitomises our organisational values of being bold, passionate and caring; and we hope the local community embraces it.

“This brand refresh coincides with the start of our ten year strategy which includes our ambition to double the number of local people we support, in order to meet the ever-growing demand for our services.

“Our new look and feel is one part of a much bigger picture at St Helena. In order to achieve our vision, we are looking to the future and exploring new ways of supporting people in our community.

“With costs of care increasing and the population growing, it is essential we raise more vital funds to maintain our high quality patient care, today and for future generations.

“For us to help local people face incurable illness and bereavement, 75% of the income we need to fund St Helena comes from the local community. Therefore, we must stand out and have impact in a highly competitive environment; otherwise we won’t be able to help support patients and families when you need us.”

Currently it costs more than £30,000 a day to provide St Helena’s vital services to patients and families in their homes, at the Hospice in Colchester and over the phone through the 24/7 SinglePoint service.

Around 7 in 10 of the people supported by the charity are funded through the local community giving donations, buying in St Helena shops, paying for care from Radfield Home Care in support of St Helena, playing Your Hospice Lottery, and leaving gifts in Wills.

Mark added: “We are dedicated to ensuring we’re here for everyone who needs us, regardless of diagnosis or personal circumstance. That’s why we have adopted a new tagline ‘for the people you love’.

“We receive 25% of our funding from the NHS, but we rely on the local community to raise the rest, so if you are able to, please do support us in any way you can.”
