Hospice gears up for Tendring Community Fun Day

Visitors to a Community Fun Day in Little Clacton this weekend can expect a fun-packed day out for all the family, while raising much-needed funds for St Helena Hospice.

The Tendring Community Fun Day at Parish Fields, Plough Corner, on Saturday 28th June will have a charity football match, inflatables and bouncy castles, ice cream vans, licensed bar, games, and a variety of food stalls and sweet treats.

Colchester Hospital Radio will be the MC and entertainment will come from Storm Elite cheerleaders, The Urban Stage Company dancers and musical performances from Colne Endeavour Band.

There will be a dog show with many fun categories to show off a pooch, thanks to the Foxash Fun Dog Show who will be on the lookout for Gorgeous Eyes, Cutest Puppy and Golden Oldie among other qualities.

Jo Clarke, public fundraising manager at St Helena Hospice, said:

“We are looking forward to all the fun of a fete as we host our first Community Fun Day in the Tendring District this Saturday, and we hope for a big turnout whatever the weather!

“Join us for lots of exciting things to get involved with and plenty of delicious food, drink and snacks, and cheerleaders, dancers and a charity football match will be waiting for you too.

“The family-friendly fun day has the added bonus of raising vital funds to help St Helena Hospice support people living with incurable illness and bereavement in our communities across north east Essex.”
