Runners can take their pick from one of three routes; 1km, 5km or 10km routes to run on the day. This fun family event is suitable for all ages to take part and dressing up as your favourite superhero is highly encouraged. Your superhero could be anyone, from a family member, a doctor, a firefighter or your favourite Marvel character - superheroes come in many different guises, so let's get creative!
Lisa Chenery, fundraiser at St Helena Hospice, said: "We are delighted to introduce Superhero Run to the local community this March and we hope to see lots of people getting into the spirit and donning their best costumes in support of our local hospice heroes!
“With three different routes to choose from, there is something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a fun and active activity for all the family to enjoy, fancy setting yourself a fitness challenge or want to get competitive with friends or family by taking on the longer 10k run.
"All the money raised from this event will ensure we can continue to be here for those who need us at the most difficult time in their lives. Without you, we cannot continue to provide vital and essential care to the growing number of patients and families who desperately need it. We encourage everyone to raise £35 in sponsorship as the event registration fee only covers the cost of putting on this fantastic event. By raising £50 in sponsorship, you could help provide the care and support a family in crisis needs in the depth of night with a visit from a SinglePoint nurse in their home.
“All sponsorship raised by participants will help local people within the community facing incurable illness and bereavement and we are so grateful for all of our supporters and fundraisers who continue to help people in north east Essex at a most difficult time for them. Our services are more in demand than ever as the local NHS faces extreme pressures and turns to us for support. Thanks to your generosity and support we can help more local people live and die well with compassion, dignity and choice.”
Whether you're a competitive seasoned runner, seeking a new fitness challenge or simply looking for a fun family morning out, get involved, take part and raise money for a great cause at the same time.

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
